This one day workshop is designed as a technology workshop to prepare and assist all levels of school staff to support their local EAST Program. The vision and purpose of the EAST Initiative will be presented; as will the relationships with state and national organizations currently engaged with the EAST Initiative along with supporting research highlights. Cross-curricular pathways using the EAST technology to achieve meaningful community service will be explored. Student selection, placement, and overall scheduling along with summer and after-hours possibilities options will be presented. Logistical issues related to travel, conference participation, and periodic upgrades will be discussed and best practices shared.


ELMA attendance is required for new EAST programs, Arkansas upgrade recipients, and new building administration or career counselor.
