How do I update my profile?
- Go to My EAST > Profile.
- You'll see a summary of your profile.
- Click the 'Edit Profile' icon in the top right corner.
- Click the 'Save' button when you're finished with your changes.
How do I add classes?
You can add your EAST classes to the website, and then assign your EAST students to their respective classes. You can then create discussion journals for your students to complete online.
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Add Class' icon in the top right corner.
- Enter a title for your class.
- Select the classroom in which the class is held.
- Choose whether the class is on a regular or a block schedule.
- Choose the days and times the class meets.
- Click the 'Save' button when finished.
How do I edit a class I've already created?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Edit' link placed in the far right beside the 'Delete' link.
- You'll see the option to edit the title, room, schedule type, day and time of the class.
- Click the 'Save' button when finished.
How do I manage my class rosters?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Roster' link for the specific class.
- You'll see the list of the students in that class and have the ability to 'Login As' into EAST as the student.
- You may either 'Drop' or 'Add More Students' to the class as desired.
- Click the 'Save' button when finished.
How do I delete a class?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Delete' link in the far right of each class created..
- Click Ok to proceed with the deletion the class.
How do I add a journal to the class?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Journal' tab.
- Click the 'Add Class' icon in the top right corner.
- Enter a title for your Journal.
- Select the specific class.
- Choose the day and time the class may start and stop responding to the journal.
- Prepare a set of instructions for the students in the class.
- Click the 'Save' button when finished.
How do I edit a journal I've already created?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Journal' tab.
- Click the 'Edit' link placed in the far right of each created journal.
- You'll see the option to edit the title, class, day and time the class may start and stop responding to the journal, and the instructions.
- Click the 'Save Changes' button when finished.
How do I manage a journal's questions?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Journal' tab.
- Click the 'Questions' link for the specific class.
- You'll see a text box where you type your questions.
- Click the 'Add Question' button when finished.
- You'll also have the ability to 'Edit' and 'Delete' your questions and check the responses to them.
How do I view responses to my journals?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Journal' tab.
- Click the 'Responses' link for the specific class.
- You'll see the questions you posted and the responses of the students.
- Click the 'Add Feedback' link to respond back to the student's post.
- Click the 'Save' link when finished.
How do I copy a journal I've already created?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Journal' tab.
- Click the journal(s) you want to copy by selecting the checkbox beside each journal.
- Click the drop down box placed at the top right hand corner.
- Select the desired class to where you want the copy the selected journal to be.
- Click the 'Copy' Button when finished.
How do I delete a journal?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Journal' tab.
- Choose the journal(s) you want to delete by selecting the checkbox.
- Click the 'Delete Selected' button to delete journal.
- Click 'Ok' to confirm the deletion.
How do I manage the classrooms at my EAST school?
- Go to My EAST > Classes.
- Click the 'Classrooms' tab.
- You'll be able to search, edit, delete, add, and view your classrooms.
- To search for a specific classroom
- To add a classroom, type the desired name in the text box at the bottom of the page.
- Click the 'Add' button when finished.
- To view the classes in a classroom, click the 'Classes' link.
- To edit or delete the classroom the links are placed at the far right of each classroom.
How do I add a student to the website?
- Go to My EAST >Students.
- Click the 'Active Students' tab.
- Click the 'Add Student' icon in the top right corner.
- Enter a username, email, full name and birthday for your student.
- Click the 'Save' button when finished.
How do I edit my students' accounts?
- Go to My EAST >Students.
- Click the 'Active Students' tab.
- Click the 'Edit' link by the desired student..
- You'll be able to reset the student's password, full name, birthday, and whether the student is active or inactive.
- Click the 'Save' button after making all neccessary changes.
How do I deactivate a student?
- Go to My EAST >Students.
- Click the 'Active Students' tab.
- Select the student(s) you wish to deactivate by clicking the checkbox beside their name.
- Click the 'Deactivate Selected' button and the student(s) will be moved to your inactive list.
How do I activate a student I've deactivated?
- Go to My EAST >Students.
- Click the 'Inactive Students' tab.
- Select the student(s) you wish to activate by clicking the checkbox beside their name.
- Click the 'Activate Selected' button and the student(s) will be moved to your active list.
How do I reset student passwords?
- Go to My EAST >Students.
- Click the 'Active Students' tab.
- Select the student(s) you wish to reset the password for by clicking the checkbox beside their name.
- Click the 'Reset Selected Passwords' button and the student(s) password will be reset.
How do I add a school official to the website?
- Go to My EAST >School Officials.
- Click the 'Active School Officials' tab.
- Click the 'Add school official' icon in the top right corner.

How can I see what training sessions I've registered for?
- Go to My EAST >Training & Events .
- Click the 'My Training Sessions' tab.
- You'll see the list of all the training sessions you registered for.
How can I see what training sessions my school has registered for?
- Go to My EAST >Training & Events .
- Click the 'My School's Training Sessions' tab.
- You'll see the list of all the training sessions your school registered for.
How do I open an EAST help ticket?
- Go to My EAST >Support & Tutorials .
- Click the 'Help Tickets' tab.
- Click the 'Add Help Ticket' icon at the top right corner.
- Select the Topic of the Ticket.
- Prepare an report of the problem you are facing.
- Click the 'Save' button when finished
How do I respond to my school's help tickets?
- Go to My EAST >Support & Tutorials .
- Click the 'Help Tickets' tab.
- Click the 'Details' link placed at the far right of the ticket.
- You'll see a text box at the bottom of the page.
- Type in your response to the ticket.
- Click the 'Save' button when finished.
How do I close an EAST help ticket?
- Go to My EAST >Support & Tutorials .
- Click the 'Help Tickets' tab.
- Click the 'Details' link placed at the far right of the ticket.
- Select the 'Close' link under 'Status' at the top right hand corner of the page.
- You may re-open the ticket just click the 'Re-Open' link at the top right corner.
How do I see what tutorials I've viewed?
- Go to My EAST >Support & Tutorials .
- Click the 'Tutorials' tab.
- You'll see a list of all the tutorials you've viewed.
