My Community '08 Rules
- All films must be between two and ten minutes in length.
- The deadline to submit a film is April 1, 2008.
- Arkansas students in K-12 and college students are eligible for the project. For judging purposes, films may be broken down into three categories:
- Kindergarten-8th grade
- 9th-12th grade
- College students
- One Grand Prize of a $4,000 one-time UCA scholarship to winning out going seniors
- More prizes will be announced at a later date.
- Films will be judged on content and theme, camera techniques, video/editing, narration, audio and voice editing and music.
- Films must be submitted in DVD format any playable on any standard DVD player.
- Films received after April 1, 2008 will not be eligible for awards consideration.
- This is a student driven project. Instructors may assist but the students must do the shooting and editing.
- Films may cover any subject relating to their community. It can be a person, story, sports team, etc.
- Decisions of the judges are final.
- There is no fee associated with this project.
- Submissions will not be returned.
- Awards ceremony is scheduled for April 30, 2008.
