Summertime with EAST
Summer is a time to reflect and renew and no group does a better job of collaborating
for success than EAST facilitators. Every summer, as part of their ongoing
professional development, active facilitators from across the Initiative gather
to learn from each other and from experts in the field as they prepare to take their
programs to the next level. It’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s invigorating…most of all
it’s EAST.
This year we're holding two seminars - one in
Kahului, Maui, Hawaii and one in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Take your pick, register today, and we'll see you this summer!
Who Should Attend?
All primary or co-facilitators that are responsible for an EAST classroom must
attend one of the seminars. Your back-up is not required to attend but is definitely
welcome.
If you will not be able to attend, we need a written letter signed by your principal
documenting this decision. This letter needs to be sent to Melanie Ridlon by or
before the registration date of Friday, May 16, 2008.
Register today!
How Should I Prepare?
Dress is casual for all events
Please bring constructive ideas, a willingness to work with others,
and an enthusiasm for EAST. You should also plan to bring at least one of the
required items for the prize drawing.
Remember to update ALL of your contact information in your profile on
the EAST website. This will help us get in touch with you during the summer
if needed. Remember attendance is required. If you have any questions, please
contact Melanie Ridlon at melanie@eastproject.org.
We look forward to seeing you there!
