Using GPS with GIS Online

New this spring...an introduction to using GPS technology to support your geospatial projects! This course will cover basic instruction in what GPS is, how it works, and how to use it. Topics include setting up your GPS units, creating and collecting data, and getting it into a file format that you can use in ArcGIS. Students may self-enroll at any time. To access the Online Geospatial Learning website, make sure that you're logged in to the EAST website, and then click the link below to go to the course website. Instructions and information about the course can be found on the course website.

Advanced Geospatial Techniques (Private)

Is your EAST class working on a geospatial project that requires advanced training? You can apply for a custom one-day workshop led by the geospatial professionals at CAST, the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies. The workshop will be specifically geared to your needs and held at your school. We encourage all applicants to submit your application early, as there are only 10 workshops available for 2011-2012. If you have questions about whether or not your project would qualify, please contact your EAST support team at CAST for more information.

Accepting applications immediately, until all workshops have been filled.

Community Mapping Online

This online course teaches your students the same concepts and skills that we cover in our two-day Community Mapping training. And because it's online, students can self-enroll at any time and work through the lessons at their own pace. There's no limit on how many students can be enrolled! To access the Online Geospatial Learning website, make sure that you're logged in to the EAST website, and then click the link below to go to the course website. Instructions and information about the course can be found on the course website.
